Biography
Pearl is aresearch assistant in the Educational and Developmental Psychology lab, workingon the project “Expressive Writing as a Brief Intervention Targeting Stress andAnxiety” with Dr Deborah Bailey-Rodriguez and Dr Gemma Reynolds. She has a firstdegree in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford and recentlycompleted her Masters in Language sciences at University College London. She isinterested in speech and language research, primarily in the impact of speech/languagedisorders and mental health, as well as qualitative research involving socialmedia. When she is not working at Middlesex, she is working at UCL, designingan app prototype for children with Developmental Language Disorder to increasetheir usage of emotion words.
