Research activities

Myresearch is biopsychosocial, and attachment theory drives most of my research and the questions I am curious about. The heart of my work seeks to understand how to make our relationships better.

Current Teaching

Myteaching reflects my research in that it is biopsychosocial, and my provisionhas been across a range of core British Psychological Society areas.

Biography

I am a psychologist and a psychotherapist who iscurious about the most basic ingredient in human nature: the emotional bonds wehave with others, and the role this has in health and wellbeing. My expertiseis attachment theory – it is the thread that ties together all of my work, academically and clinically, and more recently, gastronomically, as a foodwriter. My teaching and research combine counselling, clinical, developmental, and healthpsychology, and also biopsychology and neuroscience.
